Inbound-links a la carte

OK, this is not a thread about the rel=nofollow so let's assume this problem has been taken care of. ;-)

If you could choose inbound-links "a la carte" what would you love most?

My preferences are based on general reasoning on what I believe could be considered "natural". Not more, not less.

1. Linkgiving Domain
- On-Topic better than Off-Topic but no problem with 50% of domains off-topic.
- Authority Domain if you know what it is and you can identify it, go for it.

2. Linkgiving page
- somesubpage.xyz better than index.xyz
- somesubpage.xyz fully integrated in site-navigation
- title contains "my keyword" or similar (bonus)
- link.xyz or links.xyz to be avoided

3. Position on page
- link embedded in text better than footer
- surrounding text is ontopic

4. Anchor-Text
- 60% "my keyword" the rest "domain.com" and other random kw-combinations

5. Time period
- number of inbound links growing slowly and constantly better than sudden short blast of new inbounds (20-30 new links per month, but every month better than 5k in one week and goodbye)

6. Reciprocacy
- single-inbound is gold
- semi-reciprocal is silver (A->B, B->C)
- full-reciprocal is better than it's reputation

7. PR
- PR means less than ever
- Inbound-Links only from high PR-pages (5+) to be avoided

I think a lot of this depends on the engine we're talking about. I agree with on topic, but only as a future safeguard in regards to a long term SEO action plan. As far as #2 goes, its not anything I stress over. A link is a link as far as I'm concerned.

4 and 5, are again, engine dependent IME. Recips still work very well in all the engines, although I'm a strong believer in one ways whenever plausible in the "future safeguard" capacity I mentioned above.

PR still has meaning. Its TBPR (toolbar PR - anotherwards, what *we* are shown about a sites supposed PR) that doesn't mean squat, IMHO.

I vary this with 5 or 6 different combinations.

Deep links should be added to the list.

I could be mistaken , but I have the sense G is waiting for good variety of link types before they give credit for all. i.e. recips count more if combined with one-way, and directory links.

I tried to launch a new site after feb 04. I did a lot of linkexchange with A->B, C->D linkpatterns but only with sites with some green on the bar. The site shows for allinanchor: keyword but is burried for keyword. Although I cannot proove that this was the (only) problem I would say it is not very natural to have inbounds only from high-pr sites it just doesn't represent normal link distribution.
