I`ve been reading these comments etc and realized that besides great content, for many of these people, PR of the page (to link to and to get links from) is quite important. But as I`m developing my link strategy and getting to know the area, I`m afraid that the page PR might be a problem for me. The case is that we have a pretty good site: it`s known, it has great content etc. But I discovered that there is a page rank of 7 for the main page only and other pages have 0. I was explained that it has something to do with session keys we use (the main page is the only one not having a session key). No fraud. So, of course it`s impossible to provide all the links (if asked) on the main page, but I`m afraid that noone wants me to link back to them from a PR 0 page. So, what should I do? Any ideas/suggestions/comforts?

If your site was in my area, I wouldn't hesitate to exchange links - fears of PR0 linkage go back a couple of years to when that was a sure indicator of a penalty.
I do understand this situation is not satisfactory and something has to be done, I`ll just have to figure out, what exactly.
The problem is that I don`t think I`m getting any Google referrals for those. Only for the main page. And I know I`m missing a lot of traffic and consequently $$$. And now I have to explain it to the boss.
But thanks, rogerd, for encouraging. I wish there would be more like you, but unfortunately I`ve seen a lot with those old fears...
So, now I have to
1)get techies to work on the pages, because we need the traffic from G and other SEs and of course the page rank is useful as well.
2) start working on the linking and hope for the best.
Am I correct?
Thanks again for all the help! Interested
Everything to keep the boss happy...which would keep me happy... and which would make my wallet even happier ;).
Thanks guys!
