Anchortext and backlink analysis software

I have been looking for software that will give an analysis of backlinks including the anchor text for each link to a site.

I have come across a programme called optilink and I would appreciate feedback on this has anyone used it and is it any good?

(I hope it is OK to post the name here, Mods please snip if not appropriate)

I've used it & the authors are fairly well know (Planet Ocean I think)

Have been trying to get my copy working again recently - must have another go :)

Its good IMO but you need to spend quite a bit of time with it (as with any prog) to be able to use the results properly.

I recently tried to use it and could not get it to run. Are you having problems with it?

I was having some probs but they said to upgrade your "Java Virtual Machine" as far as I remember?

That was on Win2K but I'm now on XP so don't know if that'll make a difference?

You can use the google API or subscribe to SEO Count (I am not an affiliate or related)

Installed optilink yest on Win XP & its working fine again - 5 min install :)

Go to www.webconfs.com/google-backlink-checker.php. The tool analyses Google backlinks with anchor text. The only limitation is that it only analyses links from pages with PR>3. Pretty useful as such. And it's free as well!

Terrier,

Optilink is OK for some types of back link analysis. It will do as you want, plus pull the PR and Alexa rank of the linking page. Use all the search engines to get a full list of backlinks.

Just picked up optilink - pretty nice tool, though I wish it would show Alexa site rank, even on deep level site pages. The Google PR plugin is pretty handy.

I tried to use Optilink many times (once even with a NFR license). Every time it caused me troubles. It's slow, it's also unstable, there were times when it refused to work, pure and simple. It seems to me also too expensive and last but not least: does the Optilink's official web site look for you like a professional one, with a serious company behind or something like this? It looks like a piece of... you know. And besides, when you use the software, you do the job through mediation of their servers, which means they monitor all your movements and can cut your access anytime. It also means that if they fall, you fall. So what's for 150$?

I've just finished an online backlink manager program using a combination of php and java. There's no need to setup anything on your own computer. I'm giving away 20 free accounts reason being is that I do not have much free time and I need people to help test it and suggest new features to help make it the best program out there, there's a forum where the users can participate. DON'T sign up just to get a free account I do plan to maybe charge in the future but not to these first 20 signups, I may delete accounts if I found people not actively helping. So search for "backlinkmanager."
