Is there anyone using OptiLink? The sales letter sure makes it sound good. Michael Cambell makes it sound good.
Is it worth $147.00?

I've heard rumors that Google comes down on this program harder than on rank checkers.

Agreed, but, The Academy Of Web Specialists runs endorsements for it...

I have never used it but just read their sales page.

I get at first glance it would be a big help in this area if it does perform as advertised. But it won't give you the right thing your looking for. What can they tell you about MSN, that your outbid on Overture(better software available for this), or they got someone on the phone at Looksmart and finagled better placement on your keyword. The Inktomi results on MSN are similar to the ones on Hotbot's Inktomi results(not to mention it's an extra $49.00 for MSN), and why do they list Inktomi when you can't check on Inktomi itself? But, I would guess that being in Ink means you paid for it and need more information than this software can provide to rank well, but can be of some help. Lycos and Alltheweb are the same thing right? btw, Lycos is down. Google2, Google3, and GoogleCache, you don't need to rank there unless your ego needs it. Google and Googlecache? If this software is getting both, does this software give you data from analysing the cache or the live page? If its the live page, then that is not what you were ranked on in many cases. The cache is more acurate, but only works on Google. So look a bit at what your actually getting for the posted price, a Google checker. Whats left is not worth the time for analysis. But, if you want the real skinny on why your pages fit where they do you need eyeballs on the code of those above ya.

* If this software is well distributed the bandwidth usage will be monsterous.
Example:
I had 600+ keywords for 1 site and check them for this month with this opti link. say 5 requests per engine per keyword, 10 results per request, then grab each listing for another 50 pages requested per engine. What about my other sites...

with just 10 customers comes to 3.3 million pages per month

If I was Google, I would be pissed too.
