Reset Last Read Pointers
A manual reset pointers (dates) feature is builtin to BestBBS to keep track of which messages you have read.
At the top of the Forums Index Page is a link Reset Last Read Pointers. Clicking this link will
clear your last read date to the current time and clear the red bullet markers next to each subforum.
If you are not logged in, a cookie is set to denote the time and date that you reset the pointers. If you are
logged in, your member file on the system will be updated. In a conflict, your member file pointers will be
used. This allows you to keep the same set of pointers from two different computers such as your work computer to home computer.
Resetting Pointers for Just a Category
You may click on a category name to view the subforums in that category. There will be a link on the category page
to reset pointers. That link will reset pointers for just the subforums in that category.
Resetting Pointers for Just a Forum
When you view a specific forum, there will be a link on the top right next to Forum Options to reset pointers.
That link will reset the pointer for just that forum.
