Setting file handlers to defaults

I installed MM Fireworks on a computer recently, but other users didn't like the fact that it changed how Win handles pictures. They want to be able to double click the icon and open it up in the preview program, then click the little edit button (in the preview program) to launch MS Photoeditor (ugh).

The problem is: I can't seem to get this behavior back. Anyone know anything about this?

cam you right-click and image, select 'open with' and then select the preview program, and check 'always use this program../' box? or is it more complex than that :)
