I haven't made a logo in a couple of years, and I forgot the name of the program that I was using. Anybody know of a decent program that I should use that is not Adobe or Macromedia?

Thanks,

Any decent image or graphics editor should do it ..

If you have none how about try downloads.com for a share or trial ware package?

Mods can I drop that link in here?

besides adobe and macromedia

Why?

You can get cheap and trial versions of all the best software. If you have no budget for this whatsoever then your machine should have some sort of graphics program built in. Paint is about as basic as it gets but can be used to good effect with ALOT* of patience

You may want to check out gimp. It is a pain to set up, but it is free.

Paint Shop Pro always gets good reviews. Very reasonable price.

Pixel based:
Corel Photopaint
Jasc Paint Shop Pro
Macromedia Fireworks
Adobe Photoshop

Vector based:
Corel Draw
Macromedia Freehand
Adobe Illustrator

If you don't want Adobe or Macromedia, then use one of the others listed.

There was one that I was able to make a really nice logo, but I do not remember the title. Its used by a lot of designers that need to make photo ready images. I know I am not giving much info on this, but does anybody know what program that I am talking about?

Thanks,
