I need to get a site up quickly, all I have to design is a welcome screen, a nav bar and a top bar, the main frame is linked to another site for taking orders....
My problem is:
1. I am newbie
2. Should I concentrate on making it look stunning (this is why I'm pulling my hair out)
3. I have no idea what coloured backgrounds look good with what coloured text
4. I have a Xara which is a 3D text package but again find myself concentrating on making the site look amazing!
5. Loop to point 1!
TIA
2. Should I concentrate on making it look stunning (this is why I'm pulling my hair out)
Get something that works first, then worry about making it look amazing.
3. I have no idea what coloured backgrounds look good with what coloured text
Search for "color wheel". You'll find tools that will help you choose well matched forground and background colors.
Good luck!

good luck.
Then you can play with a copy of the site on your desktop computer, and take all the time in the world to make it look however you want. I never get the graphic results I want until *after* I stop tearing my hair out and calm down, but I can write content and link pages together no matter what mental state I'm in. :)
I have three frames on one page; top, left and middle. How can I design a smooth curve like join between the top and left frame?
Two separate graphics or background graphics. The easiest way is to have the curve in the column/vertical frame and a straight block that butts against it in the top frame.
