Hi, I got a bigger monitor (14" to 22") and all the thumbs and some text look really jagged and ugly now. Could that be due to using this huge monitor at only 1280x1024 and 120DPI fonts? Any solutions to this?

Welcome to the world that the rest of us see ;-)

All you can do is roll down your fonts to 96dpi and get used to it.

I am not sure if this will work for your size resolution - I use 1024x768 at work.

But if you are on Windows you can smooth screen fonts by:

>right click on desktop
>properties
>effects
>tick smooth screen fonts box

Only three things I can think of: The two already mentioned, and increasing your screen resolution...

yes it's strange because by boosting the DPI to custom setting of 150% or 144dpi and at 1600x1200 things are kind of ok, it seems there are some "sweet" spots for these monitors and anything inbetween is just kind of ugly :)
