Hi there,

I do have on my webpage a lot of photographs which I have taken. I want to protect these from downloading. The photo's are tumbnails, when you click one, a new window pops up which is resizable but doesn't have any navigation bars. I once saw a site with also photo's on it and when you choose save picture as, a grey picture was saved. I do not have the possibility to run cgi scripts, it's not allowed by my ISP, I tried hiding my code with java, disabled the right click function and using a table with the photo set as backgroundpic and a transparant gif projected over it. Al these work fine, but not for all browsers. It's difficult to find a solution for Netscape and Opera. Probably I have to find a solution for modifying the photo itself. All help is welcome. Thank you. Karl.

You can make it more difficult, but that's about it. See also 2 other very recent threads about protecting images [webmasterworld.com] and JavaScript [webmasterworld.com].
