How can I do this in PS7?

Hi people,

Can anyone please explain how I can get the scribe line affect that is around the text in PS7. Would like to design some boxes like this. It looks as if someone has taken a sharp instrument to the blue and scored a line around.

Are you talking about the beveled edge around the entire thing? It looks like the pillow emboss layer effect.

1- Create your shape

2- Add a "Bevel and emboss" effect, use the parameters you want for it

3-Render the shape by merging into an empty layer, this is to prevent PS 7 render the same light direction on layers using similar effects

4- Add to the "Inset Emboss" to your rendered shape and Presto!

I think this works better than the pillow emboss for the reason mentioned on #3, of course is my humble opinion ;)
