Hi All I have just joined the forum and thought for my first post I would add a photoshot tip (almost all versions) to color correct or remove a cast from a scanned image.
I agree with the notion of using unsharp mask and lightning the midtones in LAB color space. This is a quick fix and does not always help, sometimes a rescan ist the only option.

Image must be in RGB color space
Tip: Open Levels (Crtl L- PC; Option L- MAC)
Double click the Right Eye Dropper Icon and in the colour pallet set the CMYK to C2; M1; Y1; K0 or up to 5;4;3 try and see which setting works best for you
Ok Color Pallet
Double Click the left Pallet and set the color to C94; M82; Y85; K76. Again this setting can be altered. Keeping mind that the ratio should stay the same.

With the image open you wish to correct press auto in the Levels Pallet

You should get a better result +- 85% of the time.
