downloading .eps

Hi,
This question may have an obvious answer, but i cannot seem to get it to work properly. How do i setup an eps so that it can be downloaded from the web?

I have saved certain images as .eps files and uploaded them. I have then linked to them via my web page. This starts the download process as it should. However, my computer then automatically opens the images as a PDF, which is not what i want.

Can anyone help?

you could compress them with winzip or stuffit

I make it a habit to compress everything I want downloadable but not browser-viewable.

.sit and .zip are the two most common compression formats. Usually .zip for Windows users and .sit for Macintosh.

It could also have something to do with the default program settings on your computer. You could configure a program (like Illustrator) to be the default program to open any files downloaded with an .eps extension, as your browser most likely can't handle them and any other programs may not be configured to open .eps's by default (as a default viewer).
