Inserting Image in Fireworks

So I'm new to the latest version of Fireworks CS3, and I'm trying to insert an image on to the canvas I'm working with.

In previous Fireworks versions, you just select an option to insert images. Simple enough, but in the CS3 version, I for the life of me, cannot seem to do this.

How do you insert a .gif or .jpeg on to your working canvas?

Try:
File => Import
Select Image File
Place on Canvas using corner marker.

I tend to open the image I need to place, then just drag it to the canvas I'm working on.
