Hi!
I'm still looking for some web icons I can use on a toolbar. I'm looking for very basic stuff...

I need a briefcase, a telephone, some gears... Ya know just the standard icons. I'd like for them to be transparent gifs, they don't even need to be that small...

I can't find any though, and God forbid if I have to start drawing!

This [ausmall.com.au] is one of my favorite sites for free graphics and icons. I'm sure you can find something useful there.

I'd consider investing in a standard clip art CD collection. When I have to find a small, generic looking image and I'm not in the mood to draw one, I almost always pull out my Art Explosion clip art catalogue, and see if I've got a good image on that...

There are quite a few large clip art collections availabe from various companies.

It's worth the $$ in saved frustration, IMO. ;)

Oh absolutely, I will gladly pay... But where do you order it? I know where to get stock photographs, I just dont know where to order icons..

I'm looking for artexplosion.com. Is that where you got your stuff??

It's a boxed set of CDs with a big printed catalogue... My boyfriend bought it for my birthday a few years ago at the local Apple Store in Oregon.

You could go to any standard software/computer dealer site like pcmall.com or somewhere like that and search for "royalty free" or "clip art" and you should find a few different packages.

(Art Explosion 200,000 is the one I've got... the 600,000 set hadn't come out yet. ;) )

Hire yourself a fulltime graphics person to do some work for you oR, I personally like the Macintosh icon sites, if your looking for the bigger ones try Xicons - contact those graphic people, they customize in small icons and can do you some real nice ones. Another good place to check is iconfactory.
