A US Map

Setting up a small site for mobile access and need a US Map where I can add links to the States.

Any ideas appreciated

try to google for state maps and you will find a lot of resources with free downloadable maps.

Using American government-produced - and therefore in the public domain - GIS (Geographic Information System) data and some (Windows) software that's freely available, you can create your own (copyrightable) maps. (And since you're talking about the USA, you can create some very detailed maps...)

A point worth noting: To any that have a passing interest in creating their own (American) maps, or to any that think they may be interested in the future, download those GIS datasets now. Increasingly, GIS datasets are falling victim to the "war on terror," and are being withdrawn from the public arena. In other words, download it while you still can...

The topic is a little too deep to get into without obvious interest from other members, so I'll need a poke to continue...

Sorry guys ..I meant ALSO as an address Map ... Google Maps works great on a for PC access but not on mobile devices...

Does Yahoo, Google MSN or any other companies offer street address maps that are Mobile device friendly ..

..something we can link to an address and the Mpa for that address is shown
