First, I want to say "thanks" to Webmaster World. Because everyone shared their knowledge I was able to get my website up and running. This is a great place to be if you want to improve your web skills.

Now I am trying to make a 468 x 60 banner to advertise my site. The GIMP has a plug-in for animation (GAP). However, they don't tell you how to download it. If anyone knows how please advise. Thanks!

There's a link for it 2 or three down on their download page.

Be aware a banner of that size animated is going to create quite a large file using gif animation. Here's a quick tip for you, only animate a portion of it. Slice the image into pieces. If for example you have a fireplace with an anitmated fire you could cut it into 9 pieces, the center piece would contain the fire and be the only one that is actually animated. The other 8 would be static images.

Place them into a grid either in a table or preferably div's . Seamless to the person viewing it and you'll cut out a huge amount of file size.
