I want to do a "Door Open" animation. I am thinking to do it that way:
1. Draw a door in plan view (180 degree).
2. Use a software to "flip" the door in or out the monitor, i.e. z-axis (e.g. 160 degree, 140 degree, 120 degree, 100 degree, 90 degree).
3. combine the images to form the animation.
Are there any softwares that can "flip" image in z-axis?
Thanks and best regards
Alex
There are multitude of design packages out there that will enable you to create animations - something relatively simple like this could be created in any image editor, combined as frames and exported as an ani gif. But this wouldn't give you a great 3d render unless you put many hours in - but for a pictorial style animation it'd be fine to use image ready, fireworks, GIMP etc...
But if you are looking for something a bit special you might want to consider a rich media environment, like a flash file created from 3dstudio max or Director where you can better control the way light, texture and shadow fall on your door when it opens.
What's your goal?
