Optimizing Screenshots - possibly in bulk

Hi all,

I've recently written several tutorials for my website in which I included lots of sceenshots. The problem that I have just found is that there are a little too big in terms of filesize.

I know they can be smaller and retain quality because I've seen many websites having small, high-quality screenshots, and what's more I tried optimize one with Fireworks and I achieved the desired effect. I wonder if you know some some better program for taking screenshots or alteratively a program that can optimize images in bulk.

One way to do it is to batch process [webmasterworld.com] your images.
