SVG Logo Contest Deadline Extended

I was just poking around some SVG info at w3 and followed a link to a contest to design "the" SVG logo.

"..because of many requests, we've extended the deadline to October 1st, 2006.."

Even if you can't vector, you can still take a look at some of the neat submissions that are on display in the gallery. (You need an SVG enabled browser).

I used FireFox, and while looking at the SVG logos, I tried right-clicking on one and selecting "This Frame..", then clicked "Show only This Frame" on the fly-out menu. The SVG enlarged to full screen, showing just how the "scalable" SVG is.

The contest is sponsored by 6th Sense Analytics, BeatWare, Ikivo, Kiyut, Open Text/BitFlash, and Opera, in coordination with the support of Expway, Research In Motion (RIM), Sun Microsystems, Vectoreal, and others organizations who see the promise of SVG.
