Enlarged graphics become pixulated

Hello - I am making slide shows and zooming in on .jpg graphics - some of them become pixulated. I tried enlarging the dpi when bringing in the pics, but that does not work.

What am I doing wrong...can you help?

The only way around this problem is to start with higher-resolution graphics. You can only discard information to a bitmapped image, never add it.
