Hi,

I have around 7000 images of different proportions and I'd like to make thumbs of these that are consistent sizes.

Does anyone know of a program that will automatically resize an image proportionally and fit it into a 100x100px white square for example?

You can batch upload and edit. Best of all, it's free.

Thanks for the lead, but I'm not sure this program does what I want exactly. Not only do I want an image resized proportionally, I'd also like that image pasted onto a 100x100px square. That way all the thumbs on my site are all the same size.

imagmagik (spelling?) is a free command-line utility
jpegsize (or jpgsize) is a free command-line utility

Both run on windows fine and do what you need

Regarding pasting onto a white square, I'd do the whole thing using PHP and the GD image functionality.
