Creating Graphics with hot spots

I made a graphic with hot spots threw fireworks (Dreamweaver) and when I preview it threw fireworks the hotspots are in the browser.....when I save it as a gif and then view it with my browser they are not there.......
anyone have any ideas what Im doing wrong?

try exporting the graphic with javascript - the gif alone does not contain the hot spot.

Alternately, just make the image and Create the hotspots in MS Frontpage by using hotspot in the image toolbar. Frontpage is better to create hotspots in images.

Please keep in mind that u do not edit anything that was made in Dreamweaver (Layers etc) as the complete format may be lost. I suggest u work on a copy of the original when doing cross editor editing.

The GIF has to be in a web page.

Thinkdj is right - export the graphic as a GIF or JPG and then add the hotspots in Dreamweaver. Much simpler than trying to get the JS to export from Fireworks.
