The Winner
The winner will receive a high end Apple laptop, a visit to the BBC and have their design implemented and showcased on the bbc.co.uk homepage later this summer.

The Runners Up
At least ten of what the BBC has to call "MP3 Players" are in the offing. The number and range of runner up prizes is more likely to be dependent on the volume and quality of entries.

All entries
All valid entries will be showcased on open.bbc.co.uk/reboot/

What you are really asking for is numerous submissions of what is in essence a $million rebranding. Not a bad exchange for an apple laptop.

- I think it's worth pointing out from the very beginning that we are not asking people to provide million £ rebranding for us. Indeed we are NOT going to use or commission any designs for the final front page. Yes, we will turn the winning design into the homepage for a day – but that's as a prize and as recognition for the winning producer's efforts (and if they really don't want us to, then we won't).

So, what's the point? Good luck to anyone who has enough spare time to produce something that's going to be thrown into thrashcan.
- Oh yeah, you can push your server bandwidth to the limits, if not exceed and be famous for a day! :)

This prize is from a company that considered a "Blankety Blank Cheque Book and Pen" a good prize.

If you want fame and fortune the BBC is not for you, it is for people with AAA personalities.

The home page design is simple, it should look like Google's with a BBC logo installed! The UI is the problem area....for that I would want a decent prize ;)
