Who uses them?

I have a few templates for DW8 that I would love to use for sites that are cheap and have no real profit margin

How do you use them? I see from the HELP file that you must put the .DWT file in a Templates folder, within the site's root folder.

When I make an index.html file out of this it is full of un editable fields. I know there's a real basic SOMETHING that I must be missing. What is it?

I can't beleive that they made these things THAT complicated to use, so what's the trick?

You need to insert editable regions into the template, in areas where to want to change things from page to page.

1/open your template
2/select area which you would like to edit
3/go to main menu: insert > template object>editable region
4/ save
5/ close template
