I recently tried using My Computer to display DVD files on a DVD I had made and wanted to return to my Adobe Premiere Pro editing program. I copied the VOB file I wanted and changed the extension from VOB to MPG. This allowed me to play the video in Windows Media Player with no problem. The video looked excellent and the audio was perfectly synced. However, when I imported the file into Premiere, the resulting video was a bit shaky and the audio was out of sync. Is there something I am doing wrong that is causing this, and if so, how do I retrieve the video/audio files from DVD's I have made so that they will be usable in my editing program without those problems. When I tried putting the file into Windows Movie Maker, the program said the file was defective, and if I imported it into Premiere, and then closed Premiere without saving the file in the program, when I reopened Premiere and attempted to import the file, it told me there was an audio sync problem and wouldn't import the file. If I shut down the computer and restarted it, I could import the file again into Premiere, but still with the audio and shaky video problems.
