How can you faded image into each other with Fireworks?

Example 3 pics in a line. I want to fade or blur each pic into each other so I can get a banner type of effect.

Can it be done in fireworks 3?

I'm not sure about fireworks 3, try googling it, but for fireworks mx 2004, put the images the way you want them on top of eachother, then highlight the images, after that you can either go to commands > creative > fade image> , and choose the type of fade you want.
