what is a good maximum size for any one html page? i don't want to make the page too heavy for dial up users but not sure whats a reasonalbe size in kb - any ideas? thanks

Is there a rule of thumb for how many kb you allow each page to be (i.e. counting up the graphics)? i'd like to have a figure to work too. thanks

Not one figure - it's relative to the page content. If you are selling photographic prints then expect the page to be significantly higher then if you are only delivering text based content & css

The only rule of thumb is: Keep it as low as possible!
