Why won't photoshop cs save my slices as jpegs?

I start with a jpeg in photoshop, slice it into 4 slices, and then go to file/save for web. I then select each slice and select "jpeg" from the drop down menu then adjust my compression settings.

Problem is when I click "save" it only gives me the option to save as gif files, not jpeg, even though I know I selected jpeg from the drop down list!

Its driving me crazy. The image mode is set to RGB.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Eddie

Eddie,

is there any animation? If so, you will not be able to save it as jpeg, only a gif.

Nope. Its just static slices.

I still haven't figured it out.

Thanks,

Did you select each sliced part in the "Save As Web..." portion? You need to select each one and change the output to .jpg.
