I have a fair ammount of photoshop experience, but I just got 7.0, and for some reason when I go to do layers, my top layer that I create isn't transparent so I am not able to see the images below. I've never had this problem before, and I'm not sure how to fix it...maybe it is something to do with 7.0?

Any advice?

More info on this topic...

I create my bottom layer, as a white background.

Then I create a new layer, and for now I'm just drawing a straight line across it.

I then create another layer, and I'm not able to see the line from the layer before....in the layer window, the top layer is the checkerboard looking design, which I believe indicates it's see through...

Any help would be awesome.

Sounds to me like there has been a problem during installation...

Try a reinstall
