New to design

Hi Guys,

I love coding but my design is always ugly because I always prefer to use no graphics on my websites. How can I best start with the creation of images on my sites? E.g. I want to make an image that says 'rate this program'. It should look like a button with rounded corners etc. Which (easy-to-use, free) program can I best use for this?

I would download GIMP. Check it out at [gimp.org....] I had the same issue that you currently have a couple of years ago. The GIMP is where I started. I wouldn't say that I am the best designer yet, but I am doing much better. Just download and play around. You will get the hang of it.
