Cleaning up curved edges in Photoshop

I have a graphic that gets used as a PNG. It's a circular shape, and I don't have a decent original from the design company. So I've gotten the big version I'm working with now by resizing it, but of course the edges have some jaggies. Is there a simple way to clean up the edges without sacrificing sharpness? I feel like I must be missing something...

Thanks!

Got Photoshop?

select the graphic

then go to select -> modify -> contract
choose 1 pixel from the menu

invert the image (command-shift-i)

hit delete

this will remove a clean 1 pixel around the image...

Turn the view at 100%: The image will be seen thus.

Photoshop don't work as a vectorial software. Sometimes you can view abnormal edges, but if you change the visualization at 100% (And you can see a good quality) don't worry, it's fine.

It's a good procedure.

choose 1 pixel from the menu

invert the image (command-shift-i)

hit delete

In smalls images, 1 pixel is very important. I Don't recommend this.

He said that he has a big version of the image so it should work fine.

Have you tried "Unsharp (Mask)"?

Sometimes it does a good job smoothing out jaggies on curved elements.
