I am working on a site for a client; they are pastors at a local church. Now that the site is finished. They want to have video of their sermons appear live on their site.

What is the best way to go about this?
What kind of interface do I need? (special software or server service?)

Anything would help

Welcome to WebmasterWorld flash tinker.

Live video requires a streaming server. These can be quite expensive depending on how much bandwidth you plan to consume. The more simultaneous connections you need the higher the price.

A less expensive alternative might be to record the event and make a file available for download afterwards.

So we've got a dedicated server with 2000 GB bandwidth. What kind of software should I get to support live streaming video?
