Changing image on load

Hello ...
I've been googling for a java script to change images on loading. I may not be using the correct java terminology as I have yet to find examples to use.

What I want to do is, when a visitor lands on my site, I would like the header image (.gif or .jpg) to be different on their return visit.

I saw that bank of america did this last year, every time I visited, there was a different introduction image. About four or five I guess, as they rotated.

What terminology should I be searching for (and or) is this code known by someone here?

Not sure if this is what you're referring to, but try searching for a "random image" or "random text" script.
