Microsoft Publisher Loads Images Slowly

Are there any good links out there that have advice on how to use publisher better? I want my site to load much faster.

You're using Publisher to make a website? I think you're going to run into a lot of proprietary Microsoft coding issues with any HTML generated by that program. Publisher is fine for printed materials, but I wouldn't let it generate a website for me.

Your first step would be to take a look at the code generated. Run it through any of the online validators (http://validator.w3.org/) and see if you can clean up the HTML. A program like HTML Tidy [w3.org] may be able to clean out a lot of the useless code in there.

If you're comfortable with Microsoft products then you might want to consider FrontPage 2003 instead of Publisher. FrontPage is a more appropriate tool for the job.
