can you take video from a DVD?

I have an old DVD movie and all I want is a clip from it for another project... can you do that some how?

Yes you can do that. Do you want a film clip or a still image?

Both can be done with various video editing software programs available, though some DVDs are copy-protected and some video editing software respects this and will not "rip" them.

Hello,

I need about 10 seconds worth of footage. The video is not Copyrighted..

Its actually a DVD of my own.. I need to recover some footage.. how do I do that?
