ImageReady optimized .gif comes up all black

I have a small animation that I worked on in both Photoshop & ImageReady. It's saved as a .psd file, and it plays fine in the ImageReady "normal" preview. However, when I preview it as optimized or if I save the optimized as a .gif, it comes up as a solid black image.

Anyone have any idea why this would be happening?

Hi Recoh

Welcome to WebmasterWorld [webmasterworld.com] :)

Are you exporting the graphic as anigif or just one frame (black)?

I'm saving it as an animated .gif. The preview of the optimized animation is also solid black on all frames.

I did find a work-around. I saved each frame as a seperate .gif in photoshop, them opened them all in ImageReady and rebuilt the animation. That allowed me to save the optimized image normally. But I'd still like to know why it was coming up black when the animation was built from the single .psd.

Sounds like your original PSD was corrupt then. If you are having no problem doing it with another file then you may want to try resaving the original with a different file name. That might iron out the bugs.
