Anyone know of a font that looks like the ceefax or teletext type. (not sure if the any other country other than UK has this feature on the Tele)

Hiya,

I think I know the sort of thing you mean. I used to have one, but I can't for the life of me remember what computer it was on, and i fear it may have been lost in a forced reformat ages ago.

I have looked through my fonts list, and the only two I can see that may be suitable are called OCRA and OCRB. I have no idea where you can get these from, licensing on them or where they came from and so on. (For all i know they may be system fonts!)

I will have a look round for some more.

Hope this helps
Cheers
Richard

Thanks Ricardo

The OcrA font is a good substiute for the smaller text, but not as pixellated as I'm looking for. However your suggestion led me to a page of 'computer' fonts where 1/2 a dozen would suit the breif. Pixel8 and LowRes look the best fit.

cmatcmae - cheers for the link.

I am a little suspicious about direct file links and, I am not sure the TOS allows it. can you post a link to the site?

Ta, Limbo.

Check out [fontsforflash.com...] They have several free fonts available, you might find something that is similar to what you are after.

There is another popular free pixel font website, but I've lost my bookmark, so you may have to try google.

There's a font blog called Fontleech [fontleech.com] that launched a couple weeks ago. They've mentioned pixel fonts quite a bit, so you may be able to find something there.
