Im trying to figure out how to make back ground images in my tables have a 3d effect

Im thinking i should use my corel draw or photo paint to make my menu images have some rise to them. I dont know what feature in corel draw does this. Just a simple box with text that i want to place in a table cell but i want the image to rise a little
any help would be good

I am not versed in Corel, however, if you have even an old version of Photoshop handy, Layer --> Layer Effects --> Bevel & Emboss ... seems to be what you are looking for.

Try making a box the same size as your original image and place it under that image. Fill it with dark grey or black and move it 1px down and 1px to the right.

Make sure that your canvas or work area is now 1px bigger to the right and bottom and save or export the new image.

You can save yourself a whole lot of effort if you do it like Stever but by creating the shadow in css. Create a grey box below your image and shift it down and right or left. Use that class on every image and you will have the advantage of having smaller files. If you want a fade in your shadow then you must do it in the image.
