I have a problem that I do not know how to undo. When I have a graphic open in PhotoSHop 7 , it has a marker up on the left top, and when you get any selection tool near edge, it 'snaps' to the edge. This also applies to moving a layer, you can't move it close to the edge without it snapping all the way against it.

The photo at the URL below will show how a pic looks when it is open in PhotoShop. Very annoying.

You can turn off:

View -> Show -> Slices

to get rid of that icon.

I'm guess you might want to take a look at:

View -> Snap To

as well.

Thanks a lot! Icon is gone (and doesn't return), but for some strange reason the snap turns right back on if I do anything. Guess I'll have to find my disc and do a reinstall and get rid of the glitch. Thanks again.

Have you tried deselecting

View>SnapTo>DocumentBounds?

You can also hold down 'ctrl' when moving objects to make it not snap to edges and guides.
