I am not a graphic artist (understatement!) this is not my forte
And when I have a need for it I team up with a pro!

For the above reasons I have no needs for Macromedia tools and use
Pint shop Pro however the results and many commends are pretty much the same (at least for my needs)

My question is:
Imagine a square img that is separated in two areas by a diagonal
One half has any kind of color and then I need the second half to be 100% transparent in order to fit any kind of background

I tried to achieve that out of selections but I cannot figure how doing it properly and saving it in a format that is web worthy
Any input?
Thanks
Regards
Henry

Adobe Photoshop with gif export allows you to do this. At least the version I have.

Anyone else?

h*tp://www.adobe.com/products/tryadobe/main.jsp#product=39

Use the freebee, and if you get the desired results you may want to purchase it at a later date :)

Using PSP, choose a colour for the desired transparent half that is not in the other half and designate it as the transparent colour.
Would be the same for photoshop!
IMHO

Tbear
Thanks that I Know how to do
what I need is an image that will have a transparency
sector that will remain transparent regardless of the BG
so it would be similar to a "one transparency fits all"

Finished!
I was doing it OK whithout knowing that I was on the correct path
FYI: Paint shop pro users
be advised that its redering window does not render as a web browser therefore the transparency is not showing
as a transparency; only a web browser will render it correctly
regards
