I'm looking for a simple to use, inexpensive (or free) downloadable program for converting TIFF to JPEG images that I can recommend to clients.
Personally, I have several programs that can easily do this. And, the websites that I build for clients provide them with the ability to upload TIFF images and converts them to RGB JPEGs. (I don't provide for uploads of more than 2MB, however, and even if I did, it would, of course, take ages for dialup clients to upload them.)
The source of the problem is that my clients often have their subjects professionally photographed, many aren't able to communicate what they need to the photographer, and so they end up with CDs filled with 20-30MB TIFF images. I'm looking for a better and faster solution than telling them, "Send me the CD, and I'll take care of it." Besides, at the moment I have an out-of-state client who is up against a deadline, and there wouldn't be time for this anyway.
Of course, I've Googled around for solutions, and I've searched here at WebmasterWorld, but I haven't seen anything that rings any bells with recommendations that I've seen someplace in the past.
I'll much appreciate any suggestions you might have for an inexpensive/free, downloadable program that need do little more than resize, rotate and convert images and has a minimal learning curve.
Thanks!
