Jagged text in logo

Hi,

Fairly new to this.

I'm helping a friend who has recently set up in business sort out a very simple web site. We've sort of also designed a company logo. We did this in MS Publisher (just because its easy to use) - it's very simple - some compnay name text in reverse on various coloured backgrounds. Looks great in Publisher. When we save it as a JPEG or GIF and put it onto Dreamweaver and preview the page, the text that looks nice and smooth in Publisher is now very jagged. Font is Arial and Arial Black. I don't THINK this is the result of compression? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanx

Ian

I have never used publisher but it either sounds like the image has been resized in Dreamweaver or you have font aliasing turned off. When you save the image from publisher as a gif, how does it look in a browser?
