Streaming Music Problems

I have set up my site to stream music using Windows Media Player. I got it to work great and was happy for a while. But then my site was shut down for exceeding my daily bandwidth allocation. My host allows me to use 2GB a day. On average I get about 100 people a day to the site. I converted wav files to wma files using 128kb setting. I thought streaming music would use less data trasfer than any other type of multimedia type? Is my site sufficient enough to stream music? Should I convert the wma files to a smaller size? Or is there another way to stream music and save on my servers bandwidth? Any suggestions would be great, thanks in advance for your help!

Hi marsh, welcome to webmasterworld....
Try converting the files to mp3. Then you can use a link to a m3u file to launch it.
I believe mp3 is widely accepted.
