What I want to do take existing forms (e.g. a contract, a rental agreement etc.) that are in MS word, put them in pdf so that visitors to the website can download them and print them.

I downloaded Ghost script but also heard I need Ghost GUm. Is that a separate download? Is it in the program? Below is a passage about free PDF from a webpage at:

[acs.unimelb.edu.au...]

This seems relevant, can someone interpret this:

>>FreePDF is a utility which allows you to create PDFs just by printing to a "Create PDF" printer, from any Windows 9x/ME application FOR FREE! Free PDF bridges between RedMon (owned by Ghostgum Software Pty Ltd) and Aladdin Ghostscript (owned by Aladdin Enterprises), thus simplifying the PDF creation process, providing useful options and making it easy to use them. Configuration of the programs requires comprehension and some effort on your part.

>>What Free PDF does, is to behave like a printer to Windows applications. Although, functionally, Free PDF behaves like a printer, technically, Free PDF is not a printer driver. You can use any Postscript printer driver you like. So you can print anything (almost) to a PDF limited only by your imagination. Note that some of the advanced PDF features, including PDF hotlinks and PDF Table of Contents, are not supported. The Setup is a pain but then again the price is right! Mostly the setup is hard because you need to get four programs (Free PDF, GhostScript, RedMon & Adobe Acrobat) install them, and then configure them properly so they can work together like this;

Q: Is Redmon the same as Ghostgum? Is that what the person was talking about? Why the emphasis on drivers? Dont they work in the background? What do I have to know about drivers in order to do this project on my webpage?

Thank you.
