Why do you want it to be a .mov? Do you have a few images you want to stitch together as a movie, like a slide show?

i want to put quickclip movies on a page but i want them to open in its own quicktime player(rather than a web page)

I presume that you meant coverting MPEG to mov then. And if you simply link to your mov, it will spawn a quicktime player and play. Bear in mind though, not every windows machine will have Quicktime installed.. HTH

If you meant converting a series of jpeg images to a quicktime .mov file, Quicktime will do this if you have he authoring tools extensions.
If you meant converting mpeg to mov you will need softwaret that recompresses the mpeg and splits/demuxes the audio/video portions of the file
