I myself am a great exponent of trebuchet and clearly I am not alone. Georgia, and to a lesser extent Century Gothic, + others packed with doze are making more regular appearances in the web designers pallette. This seems to reflect the huge numbers of people who write Blogs and work with ever more advanced CSS.
Does anyone know of any studies that talk about the use of non 'standardised' fonts like these and how they are percieved by users? and to what degree this trend might shift the balance from the usual suspects like Arial, Verdana and TNR into areas where people are specifying longer lists in their font groups.
The fact that text in images is not going to do your SERP's any good either must be contributing to this.
I wonder if this is just the start? Will we be seeing more of this, arial narrow? impact? lucinda console? comic sans making a come back <shudder>? it all might start to get a little messy........
