We've been trying to create a corbis.com-like animation for a client. However, the difference is that our site has a graphic in PNG format (with a transparent background on its own layer) that overlaps a small portion of the animation. See it here: <snip>

The animation works fine on PCs and on a Mac using Safari, but doesn't work when using IE on a Mac.

Can someone figure out the problem here?

It "works" with IE on my Mac but not in the same way as it does in Safari or Firefox.

The Animation will scroll if my cursor is in any of the white area. If I move it up to the scrolling picture, it stops (as it does with the other browsers), but it won't restart scrolling unless I click on the picture and then immediately move my cursor down to the white area below.

sorry I can't debug it for you, but those are the "symptoms" I get.

In IE and Safari it works the same on my computer When the mouse goes over the scolling pictures it stops, but in the white are it moves fine. But, I also noticed on Corbis, when I put my mouse over there scrolling image it pauses.....
Perhalps you want this effect?
If so, it works fine!

If you don't want this effect.. and its just a suggestion, save yourself some time and just build it in flash. Its so simple to create.

Im a newbie for SEO.. but I dont think that would take away from SEO that much..?

Goodluck finding a solution.
