I'm doing a pro-bono website for a local school who have had a DVD made about their college. I don't have any video editing tools on my Win XP computer except for Windows Movie Maker, but I need to convert the DVD into MPEG or WMV or Quicktime or some other format so that people can download it off the site.
Can anyone recommend a free and reputable way to do this?
Presently the only potentially helpful software I have is InterVideo WinDVD, Windows Movie Maker 2.0 and Windows Media Player (although my version is not DVD-enabled).
im not sure if it can do dvd - wmv, but it can handle alot of formats. the other day i used it to capture vhs and encode to wmv
doom9.org has all the guides and free software to encode the dvd to something that videostudio can handle
