Okay, I'm a techie. But I build a lot of sites.

It seems like I'm always copying color schemes from other sites. What's the secret to finding 5-6 colors that look really good together?

Um. Well, I usually pick up a "dominant" from the business logo or a person's preference, then use TSP's "color picker" which gives you various choices for 4 or 5 other colors, either "harmonious", "nearest browser-safe", "complimentary", etc., assuming I can't just come up with a few nice matches from graphics myself....

I have the absolute perfect web tools for you. I have listed them in order or usefulness.

These are some great color pickers:
[pixy.cz...]
[color.twysted.net...]
[colormatch.dk...]

Here is a tool to help experiment with color:
[visibone.com...]

Yes, I just found this free one in G. The only problem is that I think I'm too stupid to use it. I found a color scheme I liked, closed my browser, and can't figure out how to get back to it. LOL.

There's no right or wrong.

Just play with it until you find something you like.

The nice thing about experimenting with the [pixy.cz...] site, is that you don't have to worry about whether or not your experimentation results will look good together.

Thanks jusdrum and vkaryl.

werty has just informed me that my tastes in color are deplorable, so I think I'll just let him do it. ;-)

I prefer the option that you pay people like me or Limbo to do it.....
